Buying at Auction
There are a number of ways you can buy items during an auction:
LIVE AUCTIONS: You can attend auctions and bid live. After registering, you will be given a paddle or bid card with your bidder number on it.
ABSENTEE BIDS: These bids are placed with the auctioneer who will bid on your behalf up until the time that you are either the high bidder or another bidder offers a higher bid above your maximum bid. Auctioneers do not start bids on a lot using your maximum bid.
LIVE / ONLINE SIMULCAST AUCTIONS: These auctions are very popular and offer a buyer the chance to bid live from anywhere in the world. Auctions such as these have both a live audience "in-house" and a live internet simulcast. Registration is required to participate in online bidding.
ONLINE ONLY AUCTIONS: Timed internet auctions begin and end at a specified time. These auctions also require you to register before you can bid.
